We're back for Spokane Humane Society's 18th Annual Parade of Paws. A fun-packed 2 or 4 mile walk to benefit the animals at the Spokane Humane Society waiting for their forever homes. Everyone's invited! You, your dog, family, co-workers, and friends are all welcome to join in the fun to raise funds for animals in need. Please only bring your pet if they are friendly around other pets & their hoomans.
You can also be a lead dog & gather a group of 5 or more friends and form a “Dog Pack.” Challenge others to form packs and compete to see who can get the most pledges. Your pledges and donations to the Spokane Humane Society create life-saving options for animals in need.
*At this time we are encouraging the use of masks & social distancing during this event. We will update you as things change!

Frequently Asked Questions
It is a pledge walk, we encourage a donation of any size, but you don't have to collect pledges - you can just pledge a donation to yourself and then walk. There is no minimum. If you can't pay you can still walk.
No, but if you do it makes things a lot easier on Saturday. You can pick up a pledge form at the shelter & return it day of the event.
Pre-registration is Friday from 12pm - 6 pm. It will be set up in the Big Red Barn.
Day of registration opens at 8 a.m.
We expect for the event to be done no later than 3 p.m. Parking is free and only available in the front field.
STAFF and VOLUNTEER PARKING: Please park behind the shelter – to the west – by the dumpster – do not park by the clinic or the barn, we need that area for the fun and food.
$100 or more in pledges gets the first 200 registrants a t-shirt. T-shirts will be limited to purchase day of event if you do not reach the pledge goals but may be available for a $20 purchase.
The answer is no to both. You can ask for a shelter dog to walk on Saturday morning and volunteers at the south side of the kennels will get as many dogs out to walk as possible. We can't promise you a dog.
Will be the three teams that raised the most money in 2019. They will have a canopy, chairs and a table near the starting line.
Finish line is under the balloon arch through the northern most entrance off Havana.
Yes, but please be responsible – this is a dog centric event. Cats and rats and snakes may not appreciate all the dogs. Please don’t use retractable leashes! If you bring a different animal make sure you can carry and/or control it safely.
Each water station has a table, a chair, a water cooler, a kiddie pool full of dog water and a trash can.
The clinic is doing vaccinations and microchips from 8-10 a.m. on Saturday.
Our clinic will be by appointment only, please sign up on our website. Vaccinations are regular price, Rabies are $10 & Microchips are $15. The clinic is NOT doing nail trims or any other services during this time, nor is it making appointments for later. People should still park in the field if they are here for the clinic.
